1. Fish Salad
Fresh fish with juice and marinade with ginger, galingale, minced garlic, lemon is a favorable food for locals. The fish named Cá Mai is main ingredient for that dish. The recipe is simple and ingredients are easy to prepare. Fresh fish is cut into flat pieces and put neatly on a dish with some red hot pepper and roasted peanuts on top. One tip for the food lovers, you should only choose those fish that weight from 1 to 2 kilogram. They have the best flavors. If your going to prepare the food then First, you use the knife to shave off the grease and crush the citronella. Next, you need to remove all the fish guts, wash it with salt water. Third, slice the fish then steam it. Fourth, fry the minced spring onions. Finally, when you serve the dish, you can put the fish on a plate, pour grease and onion on top, sprinkle some roasted peanuts and eat with rice paper, vegetables and sauce. 7. Quai Vac Cake (Bánh Quai Vạc)
Quai vac cake is a rustic and popular dish in Phan Thiet. This cake is made from tapioca with shrimp and pork and the dough is kneaded into small pieces that look like tiny pillows. You can eat this dish with fish sauce and herbs with fried onion on top.
8. Seafood hot pot ( Lau tha )
Seafood hot pot is always listed as a must for all foodies coming to Mui ne. Firstly, you pick the fresh fish then process them extremely carefully and dip fresh fish into lime juice to get rid of fishy smell.
